I had a patient that “identified” as female. Noted on his chart, no pregnancy test, which is required for females that have not had a hysterectomy or gone through menopause.
He refused to have it done, said he wasn’t pregnant and still wanted to be identified as female. His insurance wouldn’t pay for it and he refused to pay. Per my malpractice insurance policy, I cancelled his surgery.
Note: anesthesia in the 1st trimester of pregnancy may harm the baby, thus the test is required.

I have a trans person who identifies as a female, but he doesn’t push it on anyone. She/he being in a male body does use the male bathroom.
