My neighbor stuck a gun in his wife’s chest and threatened to kill her while he was shitfaced drunk. Even though he was arrested and now is in the process of being divorced, he still can legally own a gun despite the fact he abused his 2nd amendment rights. Back in the 1980s a friend of mine went hunting with another person and they were both smoking weed. One shot the other by accident because he was too fucked up to be paying attention. Even though the person shot received a load of 12 gauge bird shot, at least he survived the accident. Weed or booze, the punishment should be the same. To handle a gun responsibly you need a clear head. Otherwise, bad shit will happen.
