Schumer or any other democrat should have no protection until they fund the government
This is why we need a national referendum for term limits on all elected officials at all levels of federal, state, county, and city/township government. And as an added bonus, no retirement or other benefits once they leave office. Use of a national referendum would preclude allowing any court or legislative body from applying any form of loophole to sidestep the will of the voters.
