Oh let’s see….I want to visit NYC as much as I want to visit Kiev or Havana. I want to visit Seattle or Portland as much as I want to visit downtown Chicago on a dark weekend or holiday night. I want to visit Baltimore as much as I want to send my kid to a “woke,” liberal university like Columbia. NOT!! I’ve been to all these places and will NEVER go back again under current political nihilist insanity going on in my country. Actually, I despair of them ever being safe or “normal” and useful, or actually livable again to anyone outside of those criminals, grifters, illegals that have been invited in and supported for years by Blue Democrats. Socrates said many years ago “What is honored in a country will be developed there. What you see in what these places is what has been honored there by the miscreants who have governed these places for many decades. They seek only their own power and enrichment, not the peace and prosperous existence of those they govern.

My musical group was asked to perform at the UN, it’s downtown NYC. Gee, not enough in the orchestra or choir are willing to go to NYC, oops guess no 250th celebration there.

The people of New York chose this. They can’t even admit to screwing up they have to blame someone else. I do not want to see my tax dollars going to bail out a blue state when they set this up for themselves. The Democrats have lots of money so let them take care of themselves leave the rest of us out of it.
Blaming a republican for the massive incompetence that democrats routinely display is typical. They never take responsibility for the mistakes they make. I don’t want to see my tax dollars going to these wrong-minded people. Notice that many of NYC’s wealthy people have left the city because they didn’t want the savings from years of hard work to be fleeced from them by Mamdani. Yours was an excellent post, Karen. They could make it sound worse by raising the subway rate to $6.00. Then they could say they’re losing 2 billion a year. Instead of saying what they think they are losing, why don’t they put out how much they make. Or how much they actually bring in? Let people wonder what happens to the millions they actually do bring in.
