I served on the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) from 1989 to 1993, and had the absolute honor to stand watch on the bridge with my CO, Captain William Hayden. Capt. Hayden was an F-14 pilot, and actually did the first landing of a fixed wing aircraft on the Lincoln. He was a fantatic role model.
