Dogs are the absolute best companion you can ask for.
My dog had cancer. The night before I had to have her put to sleep I was laying in bed and just burst into tears knowing I was going to lose my best friend. She heard me crying got onto the bed sat next to me and then laid her front paws across my chest. Resting her head up against the side of my neck. She was the one in pain but she just wanted to comfort me dogs really are amazing that unconditional love. It’s been 5 years now and I still think of her every single day.

About 20 years ago my wife and I were going through a bad time and at one point she got so upset she broke down and started crying. We had collie at that time and he sat down beside her and HE started crying with her. Then my wife stopped crying and started laughing. Even though we’ve had several collies, that one was the best.
I am old now and I have had a number of dogs. Different breeds, different sizes, and, of course, very different attitudes. Then we, my wife and I, got gifted a poodle. They don’t have fur; they have hair so you have to trim the fur but they don’t shed hair all over your bed either! AND they are very smart. As far as I know, they are listed as the second smartest dogs; only German Shepard’s are smarter (supposedly). We now have our third poodle. It hurts when they die and we always think we won’t get another but…. We did and I am sure we will AGAIN. Guess that is never going to change. At least I hope not!!
Thanks, MY DOGS DO ALL THE ABOVE, NOW I UNDERSTAND
