In NYC the Italians, Irish, Germans, Greeks were pouring in in the 1950’s and 80’s. My neighborhood in Queens was a working class blue collar neighborhood. These ethnicities was hed the halls of their APT building once a week. They were not lazy and walked downstairs and placed their garbage in Cans. They were clean, quiet and there were no knifings and shootings. The schools worked because the kids were well behaved. There was discipline and respect for teachers and elders. It was quiet at night.
These 3rd world immigrants came in. Filthy!!!. Bags of garbage in the halls outside their apts. More inside. Too lazy to keep their own buildings cleans. Loud music blasting late at night.
