Free speech is OK as long as it’s the truth. Kimmel blatantly lied about the murderer being MAGA, which was a bald-faced lie. The murderer was a leftist with a trans lover. That was already known by most. He was a MAGA hater, a Christian hater, Israeli hater, etc. FCC and ABC fired Kimmel for misleading the public with untruths. If he would have said that the murderer was a MAGA hater, he wouldn’t have been fired. Kimmel chose to make it political. So, bottom line, say what you want as long as it’s not harmful/threatening or a lie.

Very simple. Kimmel’s show was a massive money loser for the network, with a steeply declining viewership. He had been held on to, against the interests of shareholders, for far too long. All ABC needed was an excuse – which was supplied by outrage from its affiliate stations that refused to run Kimmel in their viewing areas, thanks to his outrageous lie. That gave ABC the opportunity it sought to trigger the termination clause in his contract and can him for cause. They offered him an opportunity to apologize, and he refused and doubled down – he is so clouded by hate; as a result, he’s out. ABC is ECSTATIC to dump such a money pit. Nothing to do with free speech; only to do with violation of contractual obligation, and refusal to cure the breach.

If they did this to someone who has no conscience or thinks his kind of comedy should be appreciated, why is “The View” still on the air. They have done so much worse. Yet even though it has been threatened, they’re still here. Freedom of speech is one thing, stupidity is something else completely. With the exception of the video of a person dropping from the roof carrying a black satchel, the rest of the many videos I have seen of Kirk’s accused killer and his “family” are A.I. Most of the above newscast footage about a deranged shooter is also A.I.
