My mother died in a rehab facility during the lockdown, when we were not allowed to go see her. The facility allowed a “drive by” sort of parade one day, so we could wave at her out the window. I got out of the car and got as close as I could, but the look on her face when I didn’t come hug her, just broke my heart.
She had dementia, and despite trying to explain the situation to her on the phone, I think she really believed we had forgotten about her and got depressed, and we know that kind of attitude can make someone just give up. She died there without any of her family around. The snakes did so much damage we’ll never know the extent of it, can’t prove it, but we know.Johns Hopkins was one of the most COVID loving universities during the past three years. Nice of them to try try to launder their idiocy during 2020 to 2022. Johns Hopkins should be held responsible for role in damages caused by COVID policies. We cannot let the world forget those responsible.
