I firmly believe buying Twitter was Elons way of piercing the veil, at least for his own eyes to see the truth of the reality we live in. And if he could actually change anything, or make a profit that would be nice for him but IMO I don’t think that mattered as much as learning the truth about our society.
Musk didn’t pay $44 billion for Twitter. He put up $44 billion to try and help save free speech. And that’s priceless.
