A clarification Star: While the slaving ships were from Spain, they were ‘all’ owned by Jews with Spanish 1st names and Jewish sur names. Example: Fernando Levine, Jorge Goldstein, Juan Fein etc. There were about 8 of these if I remember correctly. Thanks

I really feel sorry for the mis-information the black community has been fed all these decades. The way they were treated on the plantations certainly didn’t help. If anything, it just fueled the ‘fire’ between our races. When learning about their ‘black’ history, somehow the fact that the first two slave owners were, themselves, black men seemed to be ‘swept under the rug’, so’s to speak!! One slave owner lived, I believe, in Conn. and had hundreds of black slaves. The other, didn’t have quite as many black slaves, and lived in the Carolinas. I guess white cotton growers thought–‘Hey, look at that! What a great idea!” More work could be done without doing it themselves and all it cost them was food, a few ‘rags’ and a hut!! Nothing for either, ‘side’ to be proud of but, not to blame the whites for entirely. Do keep in mind, it was a ‘white’ President who moved to free the slaves.
