Never forget that the Military isn’t above throwing an individual under the bus to cover its own ass.
if its one thing i learned from my 20 years in the navy… with a multi-million dollar contract on the line. and the overly political nature of the military.
the DoD will sweep everything down to the lowest possible level and will sacrifice that person WITHOUT hesitation.
i’ve seen it happen… more than once.i hope this guy finds a good lawyer.

I have to admit, I Do Not and Would Not OWN a striker-fired Pistol,….
and “Drop-Fire” is the main reason.
I am a Wheel-gun fan, 1911 fan, P-95 fan, and a mule eared shotgun fan.
but this Sig is NOT the first one with this problem, I Seem to recall glock had this problem as well decades ago, and since Then has that Stupid-looking Trigger in a Trigger for just that reason,…. Hell even automatic Center-punch ( a Tool ) has the same problem,…. The Sear assembly is subject to Abuse Damage, and you never know if the last handler DID abuse it ! also wear takes a toll on the sear as well,…. If that nice crisp edge wears down you have a poor lock-up on the assembly, and would be subject to accidental discharge, lets just put the hammer back where it belongs and be safe and done with it,
