The police should quit, and find other jobs elsewhere. Or, they should arrest every democrat politician, toss them in jail, and leave them there to rot. That would includes, “do nothing prosecutors”, judges, and party bosses, etc. Then put in Republicans in power, to charge them, and get rid of them. Dissolve the democrat party, and spread it to the rest of the state.

Actually, it was Warren Wilhelm, aka Bill de Blasio, a committed socialist per Britannica, who defunded the most active and successful crime suppression units in NYC. It was under him that the City removed civil liability protections from police officers. No other govt officials lost their qualified immunity, only the cops. He knew this would have the effect on the officers of the NYPD that leftists demand. It was his order in 2020 that police stand-down during the awful riots and watch businesses get looted and burned down. Some officers died but more importantly, so did some business owners and security guards. Many family and small business were lost, up in smoke or lost in the ensuing mayhem. This was the largest of failures on the part of government at a time when citizens needed govt to protect them and their property.

I don’t think there are many old school liberal democrats left. We never shared many commonalities on the social responsibility chart but at least they believed in law & order. I think it would be very easy to make the case that the democrat party as we knew it, has been taken over by socialists and communists, and Bill deBlasio, HRC, Alvin Bragg, AOC, BHO are all the perfect examples. They don’t care for our Constitution or the Bill of Rights and want to “fundamentally change” the U.S. Mistated that last part- they are fundamentally changing this country.

Most Americans expect their elected officials to obey the law and not give criminals any thing they want. Pleas should not be tolerated in any case. Enforce the laws and punish the criminals not the law abiding. New York want your city back? Vote out every democrat and have every judge and DA removed as well. I served in uniform and am a disabled veteran. I did not put my life on the line so that the constitution and America could be destroyed by traitors.

We need to get back to paper ballots. We should have one week of paper ballot voting, with partisans standing at every ballot box. Voting was NEVER intended to be easy. Everyone should have a little skin in the game if they want to vote. Take the day off work, stand in line and fulfill your civic duty. Let’s face the truth- it would be less expensive to pay all the partisan ballot watchers than the bills the American taxpayers have paid out these past few years. At the local level, paper ballots are even more important. All we heard in the media these last three years is there was no election fraud of great magnitude but somehow, more and more evidence of grand fraud keeps surfacing somewhere- PA, AZ, WI, GA…It all adds up. The communists in our country are counting on us losing faith in our elections. We must restore the integrity NOW.

I feel about crime in NYC the same way I feel about crime in LA and San Fran – the problem goes back to the citizens who voted these idiot, soft oncrime/pro-crime politicians into office. Those politicians then carry out the mandate they were elected to enact. Crime goes up and the victims of that crime are… the idiots who voted for those politicians. Sounds pretty “karmic” to me… “Oh, you were mugged at an ATM in the subway? There wasn’t a cop in sight to protect you? Gee, that’s too bad. Here’s the address for your precinct representative. I’m sure they’d love to hear from you… now, p**s off.” Meanwhile, anyone who is not a resident of NYC, who is victimized while visiting the city, should have the right to sue the city for damages, including for violation of their rights under the 14th Amendment (provided they can make a prima facie case showing that similar behavior in their own hometown is actively prosecuted – i.e., residents of LA and SF are “fair game”.)
