Every president of Mexico, past and present, has been in bed with the cartel. It’s all about the money. I agree, let’s focus on our country to keep the drugs out. They use to have SAY NO TO DRUGS in schools. Do they still do that? Maybe that Mexico senator wants a free pass into our country for asylum. A woman can easily be head of a drug cartel than a man.
Until Mexico shows us some real crack down on “their” Cartels, all indications are they’re an integral part of the Mexican Government. If & when we can no longer accept these Cartels operating near our boarder with the human trafficking, drugs, weapons and other out right boarder violations, we must do more than just increase tariffs and secure our boarder. The Cartels have already been classified as Terrorists and elimination of their activities, needs serious consideration.

Mexico is a failed State. It has always been a corrupt country but starting in the early 1980’s, the enormous amounts of money and power of the drug cartels corrupted most of the Mexican government at all levels. Their ruthless violence and intimidation of the Mexican people have made them the dominating force in Mexican politics. They murder their political opponents on a regular basis. Mexico is a narco-state that is ruled by drug money and violence. Change will only come from an outside source that can destroy the cartels stranglehold on Mexico.

I literally just heard him say “if the president asks me to” when asked if he would send in the troops to Mexico, and then the news says he threatened to send in the troops. No he didnt.
