I went to Berkeley and still am active with the campus. DeSantis is right of course. The Liberal Arts and Humanities were largely classical and traditional areas of studies, but sometime around the late 90s, a shift occur where LGBT-Queer, African American, Latinx, Asian American studies etc, became the dominant courses to fulfill breadth requirements. The angrier and more indignant you got in your writing, the higher the grades. People who majored in these couldn’t find decent jobs, until San Francisco started to fund non-profit groups under inclusion and diversity measures and now everytime we have a time hall meeting about funding, staff from these groups completely monopolize the call-in/sit-in and demand more funding- while, of course, they solve nothing whatsoever. Actually, the city’s in the worse state it’s ever been – and the lib. news media doesn’t covered a fraction of the corruption in city government because it makes them look bad..
