At least in Fort Worth, it’s unlikely that the Father will be prosecuted. God help this family if it had happened in New York or California, he’d be in prison already.
First mistake. The attacker survived.

Lets look at the reason he broke in. he thought he could get away with it. The girls parents had the right to defend her. It is true that in New York the father would be prosecuted. the life of a criminal is worth more than a parent. While I lived in Detroit it wasnt much different. when Colman young was Mayor our crime rate went up. they prosecuted more cops than criminals.
I lived on an alley in Detroit. I had a gang of thugs raising hell and running a car into my hedges and fences. I called the cops. after thirty minutes I called again. still no cops. so I called once more snd told them I had one of them trying to break into my window and if they dont want a dead man on their hands they need to get there fast.
it was two minutes and they came in from both ends of the alley. they were not worried about the dead man just the paperwork they would need to do if I shot one of them. one of the cops pulled me aside and told me to make sure they were all the way inside before I shot them.
I had an aquaintence who was a cop. I didnt know him well but saw him at family gatherings. he told me that many times the crooks were out of jail before they could finish their reports. is it any wonder some cops plant evidence? They are charged with racisum and “profiling” what are they to do? a witness discribes a black man as perpatrator so they must go out and round up all the white men in the area. yet that is what is expected.
When I was a teen and hung around on the corner we knew the cops and they knew us. if we got smart with them they would take us back of the drug store and give us an attidude adjustment and then take us home where our parents would finish the job. None of us in our “gang” commited crimes.
we were too busy trying to make money to impress our girlfriends. We all had different goals in life. None involved drugs or crime. Were we perfect? Hell no! what we had were parents that taught us morals and the value of property and relationships.
That is the reason for my success and 54 year marrage. We must bring back the family and a high moral standard. having an education that has what we need to make a living. collages that graduate students with underwater basket weaving are worthless. We cant depend upon government from cradel to grave————–I, Grampa
