There is no absolutely no truth to the belief that Republicans are “attacking” the LGBT+ community. People may be standing up to certain insane policies like labeling girls who feel uncomfortable having a boy in their school locker rooms as having mental problems and therefore needing “reasonable accommodation”, or having biological males competing with females in sports. Or, most importantly, simply questioning the practice of gender affirmation for minors who cannot legally buy cigarettes but who can be exposed to permanent physical and psychological changes to their bodies from chemical or surgical alterations.
I have been an allie for gay rights my entire adult life, but I have never been an extremist, nor have any of my gay friends or loved ones ever been extremists – they just want to live their lives in peace and prosperity. Yet they dare not speak out to protect our nation’s children because they are being oppressed by the lunatics within their own community. What is wrong with these people?
