IF President Trump had been convicted or even charged with treason Article 14 section 3 might be relevant. Treason is the only charge described in the Constitution. The framers were very conscious of the possibility it would be used as a political weapon, so they made sure no one could. Treason and insurrection are not the same. Treason is open war, the act of overthrowing the government. The First Amendment guarantees the right of free speech. To disagree, to present those grievances to the government is a protected Constitutional right.
In telling the crowd on January 6th to march to the capital is not Treason.
To tell them to make their grievances known is not Treason.
To tell them to do all this peacefully is certainly not Treason.
This poor excuse for a lawmaker is confusing the Constitution with United States Code; 18 U.S. CODE § 2383 to be precise. Again, President Trump nor anyone on January 6th has been convicted under this code. Therefore this Rummy, has no idea what he’s talking about, he’s a blustering bag of wind!
Neither one is worth the air they waste.
