I have limited enthusiasm for boycotts. If there are great moral principles or serious justice issues or national security concerns involved, okay boycott. What we have here is a stupid decision by a beer making company concerning how to improve sales. They hired an “influencer” who advocates for a small faction of nincompoops who want people to mutilate themselves, their children and other people’s children in the belief that genetics is not relevant to the determination of sexual identity. The beer executives acquiesed in a silly stunt to make beer cans with the likeness of a trans-female (a biological male) and a television commercial showing that the company supported transgendering. The company has paid a heavy price for its stupidity. I do not use their product and I do not support transgendering. If people want to boycott, that’s their decision. I do not urge the boycott and do not think it will really achieve much. The problem is not beer sales. It’s the mind set that children belong to those in power and that the powerful can decide everything.
