As a British woman, I respectfully suggest that you learn the laws of Great Britain before passing judgment. Licenses are needed in England to own a gun. All the years that I lived there, I never saw anybody outside of the armed forces with a weapon. Great Britain used to be a very peaceful country–likely the laws have been changed since the influx of people from other countries and the crime that is now abounding. The sound of his gunshots would have alarmed the surrounding peace loving British community because it is a rare sound only usually heard in the hunting season–he may not have been licensed to use that particular weapon at that particular time of the year in the U.K. Also, there may have been concern about him importing the weapon into the country–the British people in the majority hate guns.
