If only they stuck to the traditional reporting of the truth.

Stop calling them “Progressives”. There’s nothing remotely “progressive” about authoritarian Marxist Communism. Nothing.

    • Sad in what way? Sad that media ethics have fallen so low, or sad that biased media people are losing their jobs because people are tired of them inserting their feelings into coverage, instead of reporting the facts and only facts…

  1. A new “Sheriff” @ CBS looking to clean house & establish truth in reporting news to the American public? WOW, is this a trend that will ultimately change the MSM wacky biased left wing news coverage? This could be history in the making, with CBS championing the move. Great news, if true. Looks like the 77 million+ Trump voters & liberal defects are making a difference.

  2. I learn something new everyday. I didn’t know newscasters had a union. If they are under a contract, how do you fire them? No wonder many of them are arrogant like George Stephanopoulos. I can’t imagine paying these people millions of dollars. Their salaries should be cut due to libral wokitis.

  3. My question for CBS is WHY THE HELL DIDN’T YOU FIRE WALTER CRONKITE WHEN HE SAID IN 1969 WE LOST THE VIETNAM WAR WHEN THE WAR DIDN’T EVEN END UNTIL 1975?!!!!! Once a liberal Marxist, always a liberal Marxist.

  4. Yeah, I tend to agree with you, Wilddog. I was young back in ’69, only 17, to be precise–and I found myself “taken in” by all of my friends, in the affluent suburb in Jersey, that I grew up in (only to find out, decades later, that they were all Democrats and liberals, while I have changed completely, politically-speaking). After college, and my struggle to graduate as an EE, I went to work, mostly in the defense electronics industry–and got my first real exposure to many conservatives, and conservative ideas. And, after the industry went into total decline, in all of the NYC metro area, and I was forced to take a job paying much, much less (and work much, much harder & longer hours, too!), delivering newspapers, I started reading them, where many local papers had local conservatives and editorials, criticizing liberal politicians. I began to realize that govt over-regulation, over-spending, and over-taxation of my home state, was what had driven out all of the high-paying jobs, and left our state full of mostly low-paying jobs, like delivery, retail, restaurant, warehouse, etc. No corporation that has high-paying jobs (like an EE in the defense industry), would want to locate in NJ, anymore, because they couldn’t get enough employees to work for them, because the cost of living, govt taxes, fees, fines, tolls, etc, was too high. Other states had less govt-imposed costs, and so that is where many good corporations and good jobs, were locating to, not NJ anymore. It was different in 1960 in NJ, when houses were going up everywhere, factories were humming, smokestacks pouring out smoke everywhere, car factories assembling cars, many pharmaceutical industries employing tens of thousands, defense electronics industries prospering, and oil companies like ExxonMobil (then Esso) doing very well. But, all of that changed, all of that was driven out, by over-taxation, over-regulation, and expanded government and government mandates. Now, storefronts in good towns are empty, houses in nice suburbs are abandoned, and office parks are deserted or abandoned, everywhere. Time to put an end to liberal control, fire many useless govt employees, end useless regulation and mandates–and start drilling for natural gas–everywhere in NJ! Build pipelines, build LNG plants, ports, harbors and docks–and completely abandon green energy. Also, allow parental choice everywhere, and put all violent criminals in jail, and deport all illegal trespassers, too!!!

  5. Walter Cronkite meant that we wouldn’t win the war. The war ended in 1975 when Congress finally cut the war funding. Michael Totten, I agree with you. NY State went down the drain too, thanks to all the policies you described. NY State is a shell of what it once was.
