AOC as she’s known. What were her “qualifications to hold such a public office in the first place? We could ask that question of MANY current and past office holders for sure, including some Presidents for sure.
Think about it…. If Teachers have to have diplomas to teach; Accountants have to have degrees to handle your money dealings (Bankers-Taxes etc); Lawyer and Doctors have minimum requirements and maximum schooling for specialty levels, Then why the heck do we NOT have requirements to hold a nations highest office’s in the land, which covers and controls EVERY ASPECT of your life in a country supposedly owned “BY THE PEOPLE” under our Constitution.
So we elect someone because He/She are good looking; are Rich; is a hooker; is smooth talking dude?
We have put ourselves in a position where our nation has so much debt that we will never get out of debt. Our leaderships collectively have run the buying power of our very own currency from $1.00 buying power down to $.025 buying power for the same thing.
Make office holders “sign a contract” that they are doing something for the people of this country for a reasonable fee and the honor of the people for giving them that opportunity”. And, in that contract, they will not accept any bribes of any nature or they will forfeit all assets they and their family/friends/partners etc. attained from those bribes (etc.)
That’s just the first step to political reform, but…..we have to start somewhere. I know you have a better idea, so let’s hear it.
