I was diagnosed with “PTSD” at age 14. At the time I bought into the whole victim mentality and pitied myself, then I grew up and realized how insulting it was to people who actually suffer from PTSD like veterans that I, a healthy and well-cared for teenager in a middle class family with loving parents, was parading around claiming PTSD.
