I used to work on a trauma ward. We’d call it “anxiety burping” or “aerophagia” to give it its proper name.
A few years ago, my husband and I were awakened at 3:00am by pounding on our door. The police were searching, with a K9, for a suspect that was jumping through yards and alleys in an attempt to escape. They wanted us to make sure our dog was secured inside (she was, but we closed her dog door) and wanted us to stay inside. They let the K9 loose in our large yard, and got the perp hiding in our back garage. Lots of commotion, but nothing but professionalism from our local police.
