Joe Biden had another campaign event in Toledo, Ohio on Monday, and it was another embarrassing one. Peaceful pro-Trump protesters drowned out Biden’s speech as he gave his remarks to a small crowd of “supporters.”

All throughout the event, the Trump supporters could be heard chanting in unison, “four more years,” “Trump!” and “USA!”

And as if that wasn’t embarrassing enough, Biden said something to embarrass himself further. He stated that he was running for the US Senate, before ignoring his own words and saying that he was actually running for president.

“We have to come together, that’s why I’m running as a proud Democrat for the Senate,” Biden said.

He continued, “I ran as a proud Democrat for vice president and I’m running as a proud Democrat for president.”

He did not correct his previous sentence about running for the Senate at present, and he also didn’t make it obvious whether or not he noticed that he contradicted himself.

Trump often accuses Biden, who is 77, of going senile, and he hasn’t stopped yet. During his rally in Sanford, Florida, President Trump told his enthusiastic supporters, “Sleepy Joe Biden, not a nice guy, by the way… He had a very bad day today.”

Trump continued, “If I ever had a day like he had today, they’d say, ‘It’s over. It’s over.’ … He forgot Mitt Romney’s name. He didn’t know what state he was in. And he said today he’s a proud Democrat running for the US Senate.”

He joked, “Could you imagine if I did that? ‘Great to be with you. It’s great to be a wonderful developer from New York.’ They’d say, ‘He’s out of here. Get him out.’”

The POTUS also posted a clip of Biden’s gaffe on his campaign’s YouTube page. The video snippet ends right after Biden says the word “Senate.”
