According to Axios, sources told them that former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is serious about running for the White House in 2024.

In December, he had told radio host Hugh Hewitt that he “wouldn’t rule out” running in 2024. Anyone who wants to run for the White House needs an early start, especially if former President Trump runs in 2024.

Back in 2016, Christie had unsuccessfully taken a shot at the White House. Christie has told his friends that he would be the only one who had run a  presidential campaign, and with executive experience, Axios reported if he were to run.

Apparently, the former challenger believes this gives him an advantage over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who has won over voters because of his excellent handling of COVID-19 and his willingness to battle the biased media.

Many Republicans have expressed a possibility of running in 2024, including former Vice President Mike Pence, Senators Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Rick Scott, and Tom Cotton, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.

Of course, the most popular choice is still former President Donald Trump. During an interview with Fox News’s Sean Hannity, Trump had said that he is “very seriously” considering running in 2024.

“I’ve got tremendous numbers—nobody’s ever gotten the numbers I got. No sitting presidents come even close. There’s more popularity now than there was the day before the election because they see how bad things are at the border,” said Trump.

“They see what’s going on. They see that their guns are going to be gone. Their Second Amendment, their taxes are going up, regulations are going through the roof. Jobs are going to go out,” he continued.

“So I say this. I am looking at it very seriously—beyond seriously,” Trump declared.

“From a legal standpoint, I don’t want to really talk about it yet — it’s a little too soon,” he added.
