President Trump aims to declassify a “massive trove” of FBI documents on Obamagate with less than a week left in the White House.

Just the News reported that the president would include FBI documents “showing the Russia collusion story was leaked in the final weeks of the 2016 election to counteract Hillary Clinton’s email scandal.”

The documents are also said to include FBI interviews and evaluation reports for two main informants in the Russia case, academic Stefan Halper and former MI6 agent, Christopher Steele. It would be released as early as Friday.

Government officials told Just the News that the DOJ and internal FBI documents pending release indicate significant investigation flaws and provide a timeline when the deep state realized the Steele dossier was problematic.

The documents contained one bombshell revelation – Christopher Steele’s admission about the person hired by Clinton’s campaign law firm to dig up dirt on President Trump. He leaked information to the media, including the false Russian collusion narrative during the 2016 presidential campaign final weeks. The move was to counter the Hillary Clinton email scandal when former FBI Director James Comey reopened the investigation.

Several investigations have previously concluded that Steele’s dossier was mostly uncorroborated and debunked accusations and has likely contained Russian disinformation. Nonetheless, the accusation has set off as the biggest and most expensive political twist.

The news came as the House of Representatives set off to impeach President Trump for the second time over the damning accusations of inciting violence at the US Capitol.
