The Moderator of the Debate Deletes Her Twitter Account

Steve Scully’s amateurish excuse took him down even before getting the chance to moderate the next Presidential debate.

President Trump put Scully on edge in a tweet as a NeverTrumper when Commission on Presidential Debates tapped the latter to host the next showdown. Scully, a “veteran” journalist, could have been rattled with the direct hit, sending him “accidentally” tweeting Anthony Scaramucci, a White House communications director, what to do.

Scully just proved he was indeed a “NeverTrumper” if he can’t handle a simple Trump tweet.

He wrote, “@Scaramucci, should I respond to Trump,” which seemed to have been a private message. Instead, the veteran journalist claimed his account was hacked.

Covering your tracks thru claiming accounts have been hacked is the lamest possible excuse. We knew by then; it was all over for Scully.

CNN reported Scully gave a public apology last week that he made “errors in judgment.” According to the outlet, he is on “administrative leave,” which means no more moderating any debates.

Kristen Welker of NBC News then replaces Scully. She would be in charge of the next battle schedule on Thursday, 9 PM, at Belmont University, Nashville, Tennessee.

According to Fox News, Welker, known for giving out an interview question to Hillary Clinton’s spokeswoman just before she asks, went hiatus on Twitter during Scully’s scandal and later restored.

New York Post pointed out Welker has “deep Democrat ties.”

The news outlet reported Welker’s parents donated tens of thousands to Dem candidates, and around $20,000 to former President Barack Obama alone.

On top of that, the couple also donated to Joe Biden’s campaign this year.

The publication quoted a senior White House official stating, “Anyone who’s ever dealt with Welker knows she’s an activist, not a reporter. The White House press team views her the same way they would AOC or Pelosi if they walked in the office.”
