As both political parties gear up for the much-awaited Presidential debates, Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, has a different take in mind.

The first debate between incumbent President Donald Trump and Democrat Presidential candidate Joe Biden would be one for the books, promising a matchup that would entertain and persuade the voters.

Known as a straight talker, President Trump would likely hammer his opponent.

Nancy Pelosi, on the other hand, calls for the cancellation of the impending debate.

Fox News reported about Democrat calls on Biden not to show up.

In an interview with CBS News, Pelosi said, “The president has no fidelity to fact or truth, and actually in his comments the last few days, no fidelity to the Constitution.” She refers to President Trump’s earlier remarks about the peaceful transition of power.

According to The Hill, Pelosi’s remarks came after Gayle King asked her whether she still feels Biden should not head to the Presidential debate.

The House Speaker also said, “He [President Trump] and his henchmen are a danger with their comments — are a danger to our democracy. Why bother? He isn’t committed to the Constitution.”

The statement must have struck a nerve prompting the show’s host, Gayle King, to retort, “But Speaker Pelosi, here’s the problem. Your language, to some, is just as egregious as what they’re saying, by calling the president’s people’ henchmen.’”

“Some could say that’s just as insulting as what he’s saying about you,” Gayle shot back.

Pelosi claims she “doesn’t care” what the President says about her. “Every knock from him is a boost for me. If he wants to help me raise money, he can keep knocking me,” she added.

Cleveland would host the first Presidential debate on Tuesday, September 29, to be covered by Fox News anchor Chris Wallace.
