2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden seems to have forgotten what office he’s running for this year. On Monday, Biden had a campaign rally in Toledo, Ohio, where he embarrassed himself yet again.
“We have to come together, that’s why I’m running,” he began. His whole speech was only good up until that point. He continued, “…running as a proud Democrat for the Senate,” Biden said.
You might be thinking, “What?” but this much is expected of Biden. His whole campaign has been filled with blunders, so much so that I’m not even surprised anymore whenever he makes another one.

This gaffe is a repeat of one he had made months ago. Back then, he introduced himself by saying, “My name is Joe Biden. I’m a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate…”
Biden’s slip-up comes after he had just made one — the former Delaware senator forgot the name of his 2012 Republican opponents. Biden was telling reporters how he’s opposed to the Senate Democrats aiming at Federal Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s faith when he made this blunder.
“You may remember,” he said. “I got in trouble when we were running against that senator who was a Mormon, the governor.”
The name he forgot was Mitt Romney’s. He led the 2012 Republican presidential ticket along with the then-Congressman Paul Ryan, who now serves as the freshman senator from Utah.
His recent blunders are sure to bring back the concerns about his age and whether he is physically and mentally fit to lead the White House for the next four to eight years. If he wins the presidential elections this year, he’d be the oldest president ever sworn in.
In fact, the POTUS wasted no time in mocking Biden.
“Sleepy Joe Biden had a particularly bad day today. He couldn’t remember the name of Mitt Romney, said again he was running for the U.S. Senate, and forgot what State he was in. If I did any of this, it would be disqualifying. With him, he’s just Sleepy Joe!” Trump posted on Twitter.
And it’s true — if it were Trump who had made that blunder, the media would be all over it.
