“A vote for Joe Biden was supposed to be a vote for a return to normalcy,” Tim Pool said. He began explaining that although the recently inaugurated United States President Joe Biden did not build confidence among the people, many people voted for him because they believed that as long as Donald Trump was removed from office, everything would go back to normal.

“They were wrong. They thought Trump was creating the problems, creating the tension and creating the culture war, when, in fact, he was not,” he continued. “He was a symptom of this.”

Before the big game, President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden made an appearance at the Super Bowl to send a message to the fans while at the same time paying tribute to the front line workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their recorded message was played on the video board at Raymond James Stadium. In the clip, he called for a moment of silence—a call for unity—for the many lives lost to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the people present did not respond the way the Bidens requested. Instead, boos and cheers could be heard during the moment of silence.

This is important because it shows us how divided the people are. Many people may not like Joe Biden, but there are some people who do. In this, we are divided, and as Tim Pool said, because of this, “normalcy is not coming back.”

“That was the loudest moment of silence ever,” one person tweeted. Another Twitter user said, “That didn’t sound like a moment of silence,” while another mocked, “Joe Biden got booed because nobody voted for him.”
