Conservatives began migrating to Gab and Parler when Twitter took unprecedented steps to censor and fact-check President Trump.

And lately, as the giant platform continues to ban top conservative figures, including again the president, Twitter only significantly lost users.

The rush to Gab was so overwhelming that the platform developers said it was gaining 10,000 new users an hour at one point over the weekend. The surge strained the servers to handle the influx.

According to Fox Business Network, the more conservative-friendly social media platform Gab gained followers after Twitter permanently suspended the POTUS account.

Facebook and Instagram also blocked President Trump from posting until his term ends.

“The traffic just keeps growing, hang tight, even more servers on the way today,” wrote Gab CEO Andrew Torba on Saturday.

The CEO tweeted on Tuesday that Gab has grown by 500,000 people to more than 12 million. The platform is a “social network that champions free speech, individual liberty, and the new free flow of information online.”

“Our traffic is up 753% in the past 24 hours. Tens of millions of visits,” said Gab in a social media statement when it responded to a user who claimed he couldn’t create an account in the platform. Please be patient. We aren’t going anywhere. Spinning up 10 new servers tonight. This takes time,” added Gab.

President Trump has earlier claimed to negotiate with several other sites and has a big announcement while looking at building another platform.

“We will not be SILENCED!” said the president.
